About GERI.

The Gender and Environmental Risk Reduction Initiative (GERI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the intersection between gender inequalities and environmental challenges in Nigeria. Founded in 2009 with headquarters in Makurdi, Benue State, and an office in Abuja, GERI works to protect vulnerable populations from climate-related risks while promoting gender equity, environmental sustainability, and inclusive socioeconomic development.

Our programs are community-driven, evidence-based, and built through strong collaborations with national and international partners.
